Corneal Ulcer

A corneal ulcer is an open sore on the cornea, the clear front surface of the eye, usually caused by an infection; contact lens wear raises the risk. It causes pain, redness, light sensitivity and blurred vision, and it can damage sight, so it needs to be seen promptly by a doctor or eye specialist.
